Can’t sleep at night? Simple sleep habits that help, possible energy causes, and when poor sleep is a reason to see a doctor.
“I can’t sleep.” I hear these words very often. A person lies there staring at the ceiling, turning the pillow, counting the hours until the alarm. Or they fall asleep but wake at three in the morning and cannot drop off again. In the morning they feel as if they had not slept at all. If you can’t sleep at night and are looking for an answer to why you sleep badly and what to do, I will first tell you what you can change yourself, and then how I look at sleep from the energy side.
Can’t sleep: what to do first
Start with simple things, because they work more often than it seems. Get up at the same time every day, even at weekends. Do not nap for longer than twenty minutes during the day, and not after three in the afternoon. Move more and spend time in daylight, especially in the morning. An hour before bed, put your phone down and switch off screens. After lunch, stop drinking coffee, strong tea and energy drinks. Do not eat heavily or drink alcohol in the evening, because alcohol helps you fall asleep but breaks up the second half of the night. The bedroom should be cool, dark and quiet. Air the room before bed. If you cannot fall asleep for more than twenty minutes, get up, go to another room, read a paper book in dim light and come back when you feel sleepy. The bed should be a place for sleep, not for wrestling with your thoughts.
An evening ritual that helps the body settle
The body loves repetition. If every evening you do the same things in the same order, it gradually learns that sleep comes after them. An hour before bed, dim the lights at home. Take a warm shower or soak your feet in warm water. Drink a cup of chamomile or lemon balm tea. Stretch slowly for a few minutes, especially your shoulders and neck, where the tension of the day collects. Do not watch the news or read work emails in bed. If you like, briefly write down three things that were good today, even if it was just a tasty lunch or a sunny morning. You do not need to do everything perfectly. It is enough to choose two or three things and repeat them every day for at least a couple of weeks.
When your mind will not let you sleep
A common cause is restless thoughts. The day is over, but your head is still working: tomorrow’s tasks, unfinished conversations, worries about money or loved ones. A simple habit helps. In the evening, before you lie down, write on paper everything that is going round in your head, and next to each point write one small step you will take tomorrow. That way your thoughts have somewhere to “rest”. Once in bed, breathe slowly: breathe in while counting to four, breathe out while counting to six. Repeat for a few minutes. It is not a miracle, but the body gradually understands that there is no danger.
Why I sleep badly: energy causes
When your habits are in order, the doctor finds no cause, and your sleep is still poor, it is worth looking more widely. Over the years I often see three things. The first is a geopathic zone under the bed. A person sleeps well in a hotel or at friends’ homes, but not at home. At night they keep ending up on the other side of the bed, they wake up tired, the cat loves exactly their spot and the dog avoids it. The second is someone else’s heavy energy: after a conflict, a loss or long stress, a person feels a heaviness they cannot shake off, and it grows stronger precisely at night. The third is constant inner unease that does not settle even when everything in life seems fine. There is one thing you can check yourself. If possible, sleep in another room for a week, or at least move the bed to a different spot. If your sleep clearly improves, it is worth taking a closer look at the old bed position.
When you must see a doctor
If insomnia lasts longer than a few weeks, if you feel drowsy at the wheel during the day, if your family says you snore loudly or stop breathing at night, or if low mood, strong anxiety, pain or other health changes have come with the insomnia, see your family doctor. Poor sleep can be linked to the thyroid, breathing problems during sleep, depression or the effects of medication, and a doctor must assess this. Bioenergy does not replace a doctor. If you take prescribed medication, do not stop it. I do not treat insomnia. I look at the energy side and the space where you sleep.
How I can help
If you suspect the problem is in the bedroom, I come to your home and check the bed position and the other rooms with a dowsing rod. If I find a zone, we look together at where to move the bed, and I clear the space. The bed does not always need to move far; sometimes it is enough to turn it or shift it a few dozen centimetres. If the heaviness is in you, I carry out bioenergetic diagnostics and correction. A session lasts from an hour to an hour and a half. We can meet at my studio in Kaišiadorys, Gedimino g. 109, next to Rimi, halfway between Kaunas and Vilnius, or work remotely from a photo by phone, WhatsApp or Messenger. People often tell me that after a few days they begin to sleep more deeply and calmly, but every case is different, so I promise nothing in advance.
A first step tonight
Tonight, try at least two things: put your phone down an hour before bed and write your thoughts on paper. For a week, notice how you sleep and note when it is better. If nothing changes, give me a call. The first phone conversation is free. You tell me how you sleep and where your bed stands, and I will tell you where it is best to begin: with a home check, with diagnostics, or first of all with a doctor.

Through diagnosis I help you understand the causes of feeling unwell and of repeated setbacks. During correction your original inner state is restored: anxiety, fear and heaviness simply let go.
