Family arguments: can the energy of your home be to blame

When your family keeps arguing over small things, yet everything is fine when you go away together. What the space at home can tell you.

Every family argues sometimes. That is normal and even healthy, when the argument is followed by making up and both of you feel heard. But sometimes arguments become part of everyday life. People snap at each other over small things, everyone at home is tense, the children quietly retreat to their rooms, and then on holiday together everything is suddenly fine again. In that case it is worth asking not only “what is wrong with us” but also “what is wrong with our home”.

How a home affects mood

The space we live in is not empty. Whatever happens in it builds up there: joy, sadness, anger, resentment. After long conflicts, heavy energy stays in the walls, in the corners, even in objects. It keeps echoing and repeating the same mood, so new arguments start more easily and more often. A vicious circle forms: the more arguments, the heavier the space, and the heavier the space, the more arguments. Sometimes that heaviness is left behind by previous occupants too, especially if the property was bought or is rented.

Signs that the space needs looking at

The arguments began after moving into a new home. Quarrels happen mostly in the same room, for example the kitchen or the bedroom. Everyone in the family feels tired at home but recovers once they go outside or visit friends. Guests say your home is “hard to be in” and do not stay long. Everyone sleeps badly, not just one person. If you recognise at least a few of these signs, it is worth taking a closer look at your home.

Geopathic zones and irritability

If a bed or a favourite sofa stands in a geopathic zone, a person lies down to rest but does not actually recover. Someone who has not rested gets angry faster, is less patient and finds it harder to listen to the other person. When both partners sleep in such a place every night, arguments seem to start by themselves, and each believes the other is to blame. Often this is never even connected with the home, because it seems too simple.

What I do when I come, and what clearing will not replace

I come to your home and check every room with a dowsing rod. I look for geopathic zones and for places where heavy energy has built up. The work takes about two hours. I tell you where it is better to move the bed or the desk, and I clear the space. But I want to be honest: clearing a home will not replace a conversation between people, and it will not put right everything that has built up over the years. If there are serious difficulties in the relationship, it is also worth seeing a family psychologist. When the space is calm, talking becomes easier, and many couples notice that they simply irritate each other less. If needed, we can also talk separately about how you yourselves are feeling.

What you can do yourselves today

Air every room, opening the windows on opposite sides for at least ten minutes. Throw out broken things and anything that reminds you of old hurts. Agree as a family not to settle arguments in the bedroom or at the dinner table. Notice where in your home you feel calmest, and have your conversations there more often. These are small things, but they change the atmosphere.

Let’s start with a conversation

If you recognise your home in this description, give me a call. The first phone conversation is free. You tell me what is happening, and I will tell you whether it is worth coming to check the space or starting with something else.

With a dowsing rod I find geopathic zones at home or at work and clear the space of heavy energy. Especially worth it if poor sleep started after a move, or children are restless in a room.
