Guilt that will not let you enjoy life or rest. How to tell a healthy conscience from guilt that only wears you down, and how to let it go.
Guilt is one of the feelings I find most often during diagnostics, even when the person came about something else entirely. They complain of tiredness, insomnia or sadness, and deeper down lies guilt they have been carrying for years.
A healthy conscience and draining guilt
Not all guilt is bad. When we make a mistake, guilt helps us notice it and put it right. We apologise, we make amends, and the feeling passes. That is a healthy conscience. Draining guilt behaves differently. It does not pass, even after you have apologised. It clings to things you could not change. It whispers that you have no right to rest, to be happy or to think of yourself.
How guilt wears you down
Guilt uses up energy all the time. It is like a programme running in the background. A person feels tired for no reason, finds it hard to accept help and gifts, keeps apologising and cannot say “no”. Guilt is often connected with loved ones: that you did not manage to say goodbye, that you moved abroad, that you did not help your parents enough, that you separated. Sometimes it is not even your fault. Children who grew up in unhappy families often feel guilty for their parents’ unhappiness.
What you can do yourself
Name it precisely. Write down in one sentence what you feel guilty about. Then ask: at that time, with what I knew then, could I have acted differently? Often the answer is “no”.
Separate what is yours from what is not. Another person’s feelings, decisions and fate are not your responsibility, even if they are very dear to you.
If you can put something right, do it. Apologise, call, write a letter. If the person is no longer alive, you can write the letter and not send it. It helps more than it seems.
And allow yourself what guilt forbids: a few hours of rest, a walk in nature, a small pleasure without having to justify it.
When to seek help
If guilt has turned into constant sadness, insomnia or hopelessness, talk to a doctor or a psychologist. Bioenergy healing complements their help, but it does not replace it. If you have thoughts of harming yourself, call 112 straight away or a crisis line (in Lithuania, Vilties linija 116 123).
Guilt that others put on us
I want to mention separately the guilt that other people put on us. Sometimes it comes through words: “After everything I have done for you”, “You left me”, “I am ill because of you”. Sometimes through a silent reproach, when nothing is said but everything is clear. Guilt like this is like someone else’s load that you carry as your own. It is often used so that a person does not choose their own path, stays close, and obeys. Notice after which conversations you feel guilty even though you have done nothing wrong. You can love a person and still not accept guilt that does not belong to you. Calmly tell yourself: “These are their feelings, not my responsibility.” At first it will be hard, but it gets easier each time. Boundaries are not a lack of love. They help relationships stay healthy.
How I can help
During diagnostics I see where the guilt has taken hold and where it came from: from this life, from the family line or from a karmic lesson. I release it, and afterwards we talk calmly about how not to take it on again. People often say that for the first time in a long while they feel they can simply live.
If guilt will not let you live in peace, give me a call. The first conversation is free, and we can meet at my studio in Kaišiadorys or remotely.

Through diagnosis I help you understand the causes of feeling unwell and of repeated setbacks. During correction your original inner state is restored: anxiety, fear and heaviness simply let go.
